LISTEN FOR YOUR NAME

1. Whispers flung like stardust through the velvet night.

Secrets spoken in the stillness of the early morning light.

Love words sown in silence by the Maker of the wind.

Now they’re singing, dancing, whisp’ring in a universal hymn.

CHORUS: Come and listen for your name there;

wonder at the sound.

And you’ll kneel in recognition of the certainty you’ve found.

That the One who made the Heavens is the One who loves you now;

and the secret whispered softly now lights your life

forever.

2. On a misty mountain morning when the world was very new,

all creation stood in silence and the Master waited, too.

To see the new creation as he rose and looked around;

listning to the love words echo,

breathing in the lovely sound!

3. On a hill they called Golgotha one dark and stormy day,

the love words seemed to waverand the whispers died away.

Creation wept in silence for they thought the Master gone.

Then suddenly we saw Him and heard His triumph song!

4. Come and listen for your name there, wonder at the sound. And you’ll kneel in recognition of the certainty you’ve found.

That the One who made the Heavens is the One who loves you now;

and the secret whispered softly now lights your life

forever.
