1. Such a tiny part of Heaven touched the earth one starry night.
Such a humble introduction to the world of power and might.
No trumpets marked His coming.
No royal decree was made.
The earth did not stop spinning at the birth of one small babe.
But the singing of the angels sounded softly through the air
as they breathed a song of Heaven
called a Christmas Evening Prayer.
2. A stable in the innyard, a manger heaped with hay.
A newborn infant crying while a wondring mother prayed.
Sleepy littleBethlehemmurmured at the sound
not knowing what God promised them
had happened in their town.
3. Such a tiny part of Heaven if we measure by mere size.
How could one small baby’s coming make a difference in our lives?
Yet the years are still unfolding all the mysteries of His life
and we know that all of Heaven
filled the stable on that night!
